Checkering

I have been watching a DVD by Joe Balickie on gun stock checkering and I noticed his checkering tools have two pieces of metal rod that forms an oval where the checkering cutter is attached. All the checkering tools I can find to purchase have just one rod for the cutter to be attached to. Does anyone know where to purchase a tool like Joe Balickie's.
