I got one of these on sale from Midway and can't decide if I like it or not. Looks virtually identical to California Competition Works polymer carrier.
Holds 6 shells, yes. Birdshot, no problems: in fact rounds seem a little loose in the carrier. Buckshot: Winchester, Federal, Remington: no problem good fit, less rattle.
Winchester slugs: PROBLEM. Slight flex built into the carrier seems to bind at the mid point, makes the rounds carry securely but a LOT stiffer to pop the shells out. (I use Winchester slugs exclusively, they shoot the best in my particular set-up.)
Also the belt mount is more or less a steel belt loop screwed into the back, looks like it's possible to take out the bottom screws to run it like a 'paddle' mount over a belt but I doubt it would hold up to hard use like that. Will not fit a USGI Web Belt (which is my usual 'outdoor' belt).
Haven't decided if I'm sending it back or not. I only spent $15 on it.
Anyone else have experience/issues with this product--or other shells you've had issues with while using this product?
