... and yes, I have already done the Wal-Mart walk.
Just an update to this thread:

I received my North Carolina CHP Friday 5/16, day 89 after I applied . I had been carrying my handgun I intend to use as my CCW in my trunk for the days prior to that, expecting it to come in anytime that week being that the department has 90 day to issue a permit from the application date. I picked it up at lunch and when I left work had to run a few places that did not allow concealed carry (a hospital and to eat at a restaurant that served alcohol). However, after this I went to Wal-Mart.
I was wearing jeans and a snug polo shirt and was sure the gun was noticeable. It is a Taurus 9mm MilPro carried IWB at 4 o’clock. I kept assuring myself that no one was looking for a gun on me and if they saw a small bulge on my right side they would assume it was a cell phone. After a few strolls around the store and checking for some 9mm Winchester white box ammo, which they were out of I come to two conclusions: no one noticed or even looked for a gun and the gun itself was quite comfortable in my high noon holster.
The next day (yesterday) I did not take it off all day. I went to the barber shop, pawn shop/gun store, Wal-Mart again, as well as a few other errands. I found that the concealability of the gun depends a lot upon the shirt I am wearing when carrying IWB. Just thought I would share these things.
