Christmas haul

Set of 25 auto dies (anyone have suggestions for bullets?), a borescope and a Vortex scope. Also received a $100 Academy gift card from my son.
If I can ever unpack I have a bunch. I bought a sizable lot of 25 caliber bullets to get a couple boxes of 60gr sierra rifle bullets. Somewhere in this house still packed up are about 500 or so JHP .251 bullets.

had one! but didn’t we all in the 90’s!
'90s? Whoa, junior, I got mine in the '60s, I must be getting old...

No more working Christmas days for me, it's great to be retired! I got the wife a bunch of clothes and kitchen stuff, I got an electric shaver and this Tisas (which I got for myself but it's really from the wife and probably cost only a little more than the electric shaver which is pretty badazz).

It was unplanned, but our blender went kaput as my wife was making something for Christmas dinner yesterday. So, I guess we'll be going to town tomorrow to get a new blender for "the 3rd day of Christmas" this year. That will have to make up for the new holster I ordered for myself that hasn't arrived yet. ;)
You know what they say, "One is none, two is one..." Not just a gunny saying, applies to kitchen ware too...I think my wife has four or five blenders. And yeah, for every holster, accessory or gun I get, I get something nice for the wife.

Well, the peace and quiet this morning to appreciate my coffee at my own pace is a gift beyond measure.

This came in not long ago, and I'm still enjoying it.

May have to ask me again on Sunday, as there's a gun show in Fort Worth this Saturday. Ought to be an interesting mix of people either flush or busted.
We have a gunshow here in OKC this weekend as well! It's either gonna be packed with people or barely any people there. Hopefully the former!

I have so many gun belts! and Holsters
Yeah, I have a "bucket of holsters" myself. We only had one blender though.
I guess that's not quite true. We also have a sort of "mini-blender" that my wife ended up using on Christmas day to make hummus - which took a l-o-n-g time. At least our "mini-blender" is called a "Bullet."

I finally got exactly what I asked for!

Nothing! Because sometimes enough, is too much!

Thankfully I did not get any lighted screwdrivers, ties, Poo-pourri, toy tool boxes, or Shirts of Excessive Size! (I’m 5’11”, nothing on me is XL. Um, don’t tell my girlfriend that please…)

I did not get gift cards to restaurants that I can not eat at, certificates to store I won’t shop at, and body care products I will never use. (No. I don’t like the smell of lavender, and having no triclosan does nothing for my phobias…)

I stuffed myself, put together basket ball hoops, ate prime rib, burned paper, devoured pies, made Hot Toddies, picked at Chex mix, and had a nerf gun war while eating nachos.

All six of the kids were happy! (Even Ollie!)

Life Is Good!

The Best Christmas ever!

And with prices dropping, I’ll actually get to buy some components this year!
So maybe I’ll have a Handloader’s Christmas in July!😃

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, like me, and pray you all have a Happy New Year as well!

Much love,
Dh

I got myself a brand new Lee Sixpack Pro reloaded kit....(still in the box). Mrs got a Wraith 4k digital night vision scope for me! #1 son got me a Jet-Boil camp stove. #3 son got us a TV for the man cave/exercise room.
#2 son and his wife are getting us a new grand baby!
What a great Christmas!
Mrs F and I outdid ourselves on our five course meal we prepare and serve to our kids and their families every year...our best China and silverware, shrimp cocktail, filet mignon, scallops, ceasar salad, mashed garlic potatoes, green beans, cheesecake, wine. It takes about 90 minutes to serve and eat.
Mrs F started doing this about five years ago after cooking all day preparing a Christmas meal...and we devoured it in about 15 minutes.....(boys:what:)
Now they look forward to it, and we consider it part of their Christmas gifts from us.

This as well.
After 20 years of marriage, my wife finally has gotten me exactly what I wanted. NOTHING!!! I enjoy watching my children be happy and that is all that matters to me. The things I need, I buy for myself throughout the year. I have almost become anti-materialistic. I do not want crap and more crap. I want family and good health for all those around me. And I want to hold onto as much as my money as possible so that I can retire sometime in the near future. And buying "things" just delays my ability to retire. I have almost everything I could ever want in my life material wise.

Like @Telum Pisces, my wife and I are at the stage that we need little and enjoy giving to others, especially our children and grandchildren. My wife has told me that I'm on my own when it comes to buying gun-related stuff. She says, "I can't remember the numbers associated with cartridges, calibers, and models!" I am waiting on the arrival of a new Garmin Xero, which I guess could be considered a Christmas present to myself.

Good Night!! That looks so fancy! Looks like magical day!

I found a “work sharp” power sharpening tool with extra belts under the tree; And it put a razor edge on a knife I’ve messed with for years and could do nothing with… in about 10 minutes including a belt change! Box of 168 eldms under the tree. That was it for the outdoor/gun/hunting, etc. related stuff. Other than that, my Christmas present to myself was bought in august(CVA Accura lr-x) and I’m currently sitting in a snow bank taking it for a walk. Other than that, my week /10 days of vacation (only took off 4 days to do it) with my four year old at grandma and grandpa’s is priceless!

hummus... once. I guess my daughters like it too. I didn't know it was a Christmas dish, too. They also like this weird grain called quinoa (I can't even pronounce it)
Hummus is made from chickpeas (also known as garbanzo beans). It can be a dull thing, or a very spicy thing, depending which culture you pluck it from.

Quinoa is a gran that's been around along time as animal feed., it's been adopted as a "healthy whole grain." It's typically pronounced as "KEEN wha" which can vex as that's not what any of the letters look like they ought to sound.
