I only have two but I love 'em both ... my Kimber Brown otherwise known as a Tactical Entry II, and an Ed Brown Special Forces Carry. The Kimber is currently my USPSA single stack pistol but I plan on using the SFC for matches too.
Well...Since this is a pictoral...here's one of my sweethearts. An original, untweaked Black Army Colt that resolves to March 1919...one of the last 2500 1911s that Colt delivered to the gub'mint. Accurate and reliable, it'll handle hollowpoints and even lead SWCs as well as hardball.
On the table is an August 1945 Remington Rand in 98% condition that turns in the same performance as the Colt.
Nice thread... use Glock guys can't do a thread like this, you've seen one Glock, you've seen them all..
I'm actually gonna take the leap and buy a 1911, just gotta save the dough... its really hard to decide on one too... there's so many bad ass 1911's... and now after seeing this thread I gotta reconsider getting a colt combat commander... those springfields are really nice... and finish, oh my goodness finish... I haven't even thought much into that yet... man, picking a Glock was easy, 1 manufacturer, 3 sizes, 2 generations to choose from and caliber.... that's a pretty refined search there... how will I ever decide which 1911 to get... I just hope ill still like the Glock after this next purchase. Man...
You guys are KILLING me!!! I have been waiting very impatiently to buy my first 1911 and all these beautiful pictures are not making it any easier! I have to wait until after the summer...
