CMP Ammo?

I know I've been living under a rock and all, But it's been a loooong time since I last ordered from the CMP. I was looking to order a can or two of HXP for my Garands, but I don't see ammo listed on their website.
Am I missing it or are they sold out of ammo?

Go to the Sales page and click on the link to the estore. It's there in the Ammunition category. In addition to the Hornady commercial .30-06 and the Greek HXP military surplus .30-06, both loose and packed in bandoliers on clips, there is some British Kynoch .30-06 ball on 250-round belts for $90 a can, while it lasts.

*Edit* Too late, the belted ammo just sold out.

If it doesn't work. Go to CMP website and under quick link go to estore and find ammo. Now just because HXP ammo is listed doesn't mean you will get it. My last can order , about two weeks ago, was HXP but Lake City ammo 1957 was delivered.

I ordered a can of clipped HXP and got a can of clipped Lake City a couple of months ago. I'm not complaining. Delivery time on ammo orders through the estore has been running 10-14 days, lately.

They advertise it as HXP but there's been a pretty wide variety of manufacturers lately. Luck of the draw. Some is LC but there are no guarantees on what you might get and no requests.

A lot of the hxp I got had some corrosion and jammed in the rifle.

Hxp-74

My last two cans were HXP-74 and its was all clean and sure fire stuff. My Garand loves it.

I noticed that now have HXP-80, which should be clean, unless it was stored bad, but the cans are usually air-tight.

I don't know, there is just a lot of black/brown crud on the side of the rounds that seems to be making them jam.
