I've been looking for a coated 170 gr (or there about).357 magnum bullet that I can use in a lever action. Preferably a round nose flat point, but not necessary. If none are out there, then maybe a source for 170 gr gas checked bullets. I don't coat or cast my own bullets, so they will need to be off the shelf items. Maybe after I retire I'll have more time to get into custom casting.

Thanks guys.

I’ve used the 180 gr wfn bullets, and they are great. I just wanted to try some between the heavy 180s and somewhat lighter 158s.

The ones from BNB Casting look interesting, but they have a pretty sharp round nose, don’t have a crimp groove, and I’m not sure I want 1000 just to try them.

I did find some 165 gr semi wadcutters from Matt’s Bullets with a short nose/wide meplat, but they are in .359” diameter only. Still not exactly what I was looking for, but close.

No real help in knowing where to get the 170gr bullets your looking for.

Myself I can't even begin to count the number of different bullets I've shot in the 357's over the decades. +/- 170gr bullets are the cat's meow. Last several years I've been using these cast 170gr rnfp bullets.

Along with these wfn's made out of 9mm cases
