Well, I went to the gunshow today and I didn't expect much. I walked in and the first table I came to had a nice looking Colt Agent on it and the priced looked good to me so I bought it. I normally don't walk into a show and buy the first thing I see but, even though I am not up to speed on Colt revolvers, I knew I could go too far wrong for the price.
What I want to know is, what other models of Colt grips will fit this gun? Will the Detective, Cobra and others all fit or what?
It has the orginal Colt grips with rampant pony but I think I would like something different on it.
Here is the good part, the tag on the gun said $189! You just don't find snubbies for less two $200 and forget about a nice Colt for that price. On the same table he had a Rossi for $199! I went with the Colt. Also, I asked the salesman what the bottom dollar price was and he sadi he could do $175! I asked if he could cut the tie wrap and I checked it over. It has a nice DA and SA trigger and the lock-up was the best I have ever seen on ANY revolver. ZERO play in any direction. I smiled and said it looks fine and that I would take it.
From there, it was all downhill. I didn't see anything else that I wanted to buy and most of the other prices were high. I almost passed it up because I wanted to check out the rest of the show. I am glad I didn't because when I came back later, he had sold a good portion of his handguns and I am sure someone would have snapped it up.
