I agree, maybe not a good place or topic to post an off color joke of that nature.
It sounds to me shortbarrel that the OP keeps his LCR loaded with 38+p ammo and it is uncomfortable to shoot.
If shooting 38+p is painful, I'd recommend sticking to standard pressure 38's, not buying one in 9mm. The 9mm is going to be just as or more uncomfortable to shoot as the 38+p ammo is.
I'm a bigger guy too, and have fair sized hands. I used to carry a Jframe, but I hated shooting it because it beat my hand up terribly. The problem wasn't the recoil, it was that the grip was way too small for my hand. I got rid of it and switched to an XDs in 45, and am much happier. You may be better off just sticking with your XDs and getting rid of the LCR, or perhaps finding a heavier small frame revolver like a 2.25 inch barrel, bobbed hammer SP101 might help too, since it'll soak up a bit more recoil.
