I am looking at the Stoeger Condor O/U ($300) vs the Remington Spartan O/U ($500) and wondering if there is enough of a difference to justify an extra $200? I could do it but would have to wait/save for another 6 months to get the Spartan.

The Remington Spartan is nothing more than the Russian Baikal, which used to cost the same as the Stoeger. Now that Remington has put its name on them, they've added a couple hundred bucks for the privilege. The Stoeger will suit you just fine.

Bought the Condor today in 20 ga. 2 hours later I was at the skeet field trying it out. Shot a 22/25 and might have been better but I had only IC and M choke tubes. Breeze was causing the birds to rise and fall unexpectedly, yada yada (actually more fun that way). Kind of stiff but the trigger pull is very crisp, better than my Browning BPS :what: and it shoulders very comfortably! Probably just lucky. Next paycheck and I will be getting 2 skeet choke tubes and several more boxes of shells. Thanks for the good advise guys.

I just bought a Stoegor Condor 20 guage a few days ago and I love the thing as you do. I shot great my first time out with it just as you did. I'll be dove hunting with it in a little over a week.
