I walked into the shift office the other day and heard a co-worker say that he didnt see why anybody "needed" an AK47, therefore they shouldn't be "allowed to own one". Well needless to say, that got my attention. I asked him why not. He said they had no valid use, "you can't hunt with them" he said. I said sure you can. He said, "sure shooting a dear 30 times in 5 seconds is not hunting, you should only use old flintlock muzzleloaders to hunt" I told him you can shoot an AK one round at a time. He said "Oh, I didn't know that, I don't know anything about AK47's" So I told him not to tell me I can't have something he knows nothing about. Then I asked him if he has a chainsaw, (he's an ex-logger) He said of course, I asked him how big the bar was. 30 inches, why? I said well won't a 12 inch bar cut wood just as well? So I don't think you should have a long bar, they're just too dangerous! Then I asked him if the "scientist" that was just eaten by a bear in Alaska would have rather had a flintlock or an AK47 when Yogi started chewing on him? He said "OK fine, YOU can have an AK, but I still think theres no need for them"
I think that might count as a partial convert. I will keep chipping at the wall.
