I’ve got a friend with an Automag in .30 carbine. He bought it New Years ago and it’s had about 20 rounds through it. Anyone have an idea of current value?

Last one on the shelf I saw for sale went for close to $1k.

Sold an Automag II 22WMR last month for $500.

Saw an Automag .22mag on a local site. Asking price was $750 last year. I was VERY close to biting on that one.

Tom for the win ! Looks like they are actually SELLING close to $2k without box and at least $2k with box ect.
I sold my early AMT 6.5" .22 Mag for $700+ on GB last year . It actually worked well if fed 40 grain semi round nose ammo. It was accurate too.
I want a Marlin Lever gun in .30 carb , the Model 56 , but not so much a pistol having a Ruger .30 Carb already.

Thanks for the replies. My friend realizes he did the smart thing by turning down what was really a low ball offer from a relative.

.30Carbine in a pistol loud? Yes compared to an 18.5” Carbine bbl.
Yeah! But doesn’t hold a candle to a .357mag with a125gr bullet.

15.0gr of H110 vs. 21.0gr of H110
7.5” bbl vs. 4” bbl.

ANY high pressure magnum pistol cartridge is LOUD.
THE .30Carbine, no more so...
I have a Ruger S-7 5.5” in .327magnum that’s LOUDER than the .30Carbine.
Nearly the same powder charge (13.4 vs. 15.0) but at somewhat higher pressure.

Loud? Yes
Loudest? Not at all.

Currently, the only AutoMag Iii is listed at $3,000. Good he turned down the lowball.
