It looks like the cz is a better deal price wise and for the extra features you get nut has any one else out there gone down this path? Any other options out there i should look at?
Its really up to you...sig will have more votes because its more popular...i would much rather have a CZ but not as many people have shot one because they are not as popular...yet...so going strictly by the poll u are just going buy which one is a more popular brand considering mor people have heard of sig...so even if people havnt shot eother one they will vote sig
I voted CZ, but my vote is really biased. I have shot many CZ's but not the Sig X-5.
In comp both do well.
The CZ usually has a shorter chamber than Sigs--less jump to the rifling--I don't know with the X-5.
The CZ accessories are less expensive. Further trigger tuning for the CZ can easily be done with inexpensive available kits (Cajun Gun Works.com) or parts from the CZ Custom Shop in Arizona.
One other X-5 shooter posted on the CZForum that he liked the CZ's accuracy.
I've shot the X-5 (the L1, the Competition and the AllAround) in both 9mm and .40.
I haven't shot the CZ SP01 Shadow Target, but I shot a SP-01 which had been tuned for USPSA competition.
While the CZ felts very good in my hand and shot very well, the SIG was more accurate and easier to run smoothly. The short CZ slide is just hard for me to consistently grasp.
Here is a group Bruce Gray shot with a X-5 Allaround that he was setting up for the upcoming Bianchi Cup. That is a 1.10" group at 50 yards. That isn't in a machine rest, he was resting it on a range bag. He said it normally holds 3" groups at that range when shot free style
El godfather you are correct i should have used the tactical sport cz in the comparison. I guess it comes down to the fact that i am drooling over the shadow target and i want to make sure there isnt another pistol w/ similar features that i should look at.
Ok. Price wise you will get amazing results from the TS. I have Czechmate as well, but thats a different story all together. Although, its built on Ts frame.
