So I had shot/fondled a CZ P-07 in the past, took the plunge, and ordered one.
Put it though its paces today, probably 400-425 rounds at the range.
To start I ran a few mags of WWB, some UMC (124 grain FMJ), and some leftover 147 grain Golden Sabers I had. Gun ran GREAT, first 5 rounds at 10 yards were right in the 10 ring and I was making 3-round cloverleafs all over the place. Trigger is solid, no jams, etc.
Then I ran a box of 25 Hornady Critical Duty 135 grain +P (my preferred carry ammo), and those too were accurate, pleasant to shoot, and flawless. Here I'm pretty excited.
BUT THEN
I had bought a box of 250 Magtech 115 grain FMJ's at the store, and had a number of 115 grain WWB leftover.
Man, that CZ hates the 115 grain. FTF, FTE on every mag, brass chucked right back at my face constantly AND it seemed to shoot erratically at 7-10 yards. Anemic ejection had all my brass at my feet (the 124's and better stuff made a nice pile to my right and behind) and the slide didn't lock back consistently.
I ended the day with the remainder of my old Hornady Critical duty and even very, very, dirty it chomped through them flawless, accurate and the slides locked back. So I'm attributing my issues with the weak 115 grain ammo.
So, is this a common issue with the CZ P07 in that it hates weak 115 grain ammo? I know I've heard that some Glocks (none of mine, as my G19 proved today) and H&K's don't like "weak" ammo.
Overall I'm terribly pleased with my new CZ, as when I gave it "good" ammo it was nothing short of fantastic.
Forgot to take pictures, sorry.
