I took my CZ52 to the range today and every 30 or 40 rounds the slide would not come all the way forward after a shot and i would have to pull on the slide take down latch and push the slide forward to get it to fire... I was shooting Romanian ammunition.

Any ideas?

some of the Romanian surplus cases can be out of spec...the casing a little longer than the actual tokarev size..7.62x25

nothing is wrong with your cz52...it happened to me as well
use either sellier and bellot, yugo surplus, or the new wolf gold...all work well

That, and dirt might have something to do with it. With 72 rounds to a box instead of 50, one tends to shoot more in a session.... and all milsurp ammo is grimy.

I had some trouble with mine, the mainspring was of a waxy texture and it didn't fully function. I replaced it with a spring from gunsprings.com of a higher spring rate and it works wonderfully now and the brass lands at my feet not in the next time zone.:what:

Thx buck i'll check it out. I have 2 one in 7.62 and one 9mm. They are fun but are notorious for spring trouble almost all I've seen needed main springs but this includes all the milsurps but the CZ in particular is noted for launching the brass into orbit and thats real hard on the hardware.
