CZ75 BD Compact or Glock 19

I've carried a CZ P-01 and a Glock 19, one personal, one issued. I qualified Expert or Distinguished Expert with the Glock for 10 years. I have had more Glocks fail in my hand than CZs. My OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE leads me to believe that I would much rather have the CZ, as mine have proven reliable, rugged and accurate. My current carry is actually the CZ SP-01 Phantom, a full size gun that I trust.
The Glock is a generally reliable accurate and durable pistol, and if you chose it you certainly wouldn't be "stepping down" by any means, but it will come down to fit, which one fits your hand better? It's your hide, not ours.

I voted CZ also, but would not hesitate to carry a G19. However, I am also surprised at the poll results. With all the Glocks in LEO's hands, and the plethora being pushed at gun stores nationwide, the popularity of the CZ shockes me.

I carry a PCR, but thought I was really an anomoly. Maybe not.

I didn’t vote, but I do own both and carry both (let’s assume we’re talking PCR/P-01 instead of the full size CZ)…and I’m more than comfortable with the reliability and accuracy of both. It really comes down to ergonomics. Glocks are pretty simple and more than functional. CZ’s do give you a little more in the way of grip choices which can be a nice feature. My P-01 is a very sweet piece and I love the ergonomics and it carries very similar to my G19. I think Glock mags are a little cheaper which is a bonus for the Glock. Although Glock parts are more prevalent, you can get all the major replacement parts for CZ’s as well…more common availability would go the Glock, but if you plan ahead, it’s a moot point.

I wish I had a better side-by-side comparison shot, but my P-01 (or the PCR version) is a better comparison to the G19 (my picture shows my G23…but you get the idea). I added cocobolo grips to my P-01 and love the feel…it’s always a tough choice, I just prefer to get both and end the debate
