Well I went and did it. I drank from the fountain of dagger. I picked up a compact and a full size frame. I fitted the compact with a standard 9mm slide with threaded barrel and suppressor height sites in case I ever want to get a can. RMR cut. It's a fun shooting 9 mil.
The quandary is what to do with the full size. I need another nine like I need a hole in the head. Since it'll be pretty much a range gun I figured maybe I'd go full on Gucci. Neat porting on the slide. Cool finish on the barrel. Maybe extend the mag release with a contrasting colored unit...just have some fun with it. But again I really don't need or necessarily want another 9mm.

I've seen where you can get a glock 23 or 32 slide for the dagger frame. I've got a 40sw in a Star Firestar. Fun to shoot but too heavy to carry. That kind of covers the 40sw niche. I do not have a 357 sig, and I really don't want to get dies and brass for yet another cartridge. Enter my buddy Darrin. He says he's got dies and about 3 or 400 pieces of brass I can have. Hmmmm......
If I go with the 32 route I can't go full Gucci. Just not that many options. And that might not be a bad thing.

So! Opinions. 357 sig?
40sw?
Full Gucci 9mm?

Gucci 9mm. I suggest checking out 80 P Builder for slides. They have good prices and good quality. It has never been proven 100% that they are connected to Zaffiri Precision but the two companies are practically next door to each other.

Go PSA slide, a lot of choices. I have 2, one on a 80% Arms build. I also use Swenson barrels. Midway $64.
