1129141429a_252108.jpg this year a newer Savage 110 in 270win got me this, also had a 7mm-08 for bad weather , a H&R Classic Carbine 45lc for close work , and a 7mmWSM for opening day , my son brought his H&R 308win , a hunting buddy had a Win mod 70 in 243. and a Browning in 270win and a S&W 357

I hunt and camp alone typically, and mind my own business at the parking areas / campsites on public lands, so I only know the chamberings of mine, which it seems like what you're asking (chamberings, not rifles)...so far, .50 cal ML, .243 win and .30-30 win. Oh, once I went with a friend who had a .45 cal ML. This weekend, I'm sighting in my .30-'06 for an elk hunt come Monday. I'm pumped about both that hunt and that rig - both the rifle and scope are new/virgin, and of superb quality (for me) - T/C Icon Classic wearing a Trijicon Accupoint; can't wait to put it to use and harvest with my cow tag - if possible. Sure as hell gonna try for the 3 days they let me.

Last 2 years I used my .280 rem but didn't feel like whipping it out this year. Sighted my .223 rem for deer, but decided against it, since I love my .243s so much.

Mutt of a 20 inch 1/7 Noveske/BCM with a Trijicon Accupoint TR22G 2.5-10x56 and a Hornady 75 gr Steel Match BTHP.

No hunt clubs for me, so the only guns I see are mine or the people I invite to my land.

That said, here's what I've seen...
- My own Savage 111 '06 and a couple of my AK's
- Dad's AK and SKS
- Grand dad's Henry Big Boy .357 Magnum
- Uncle's Savage 16 .308 and Savage 116 .338 Win Mag
- Cousin's Savage 116 .300 Win Mag
- Buddy #1's Savage 111 7mm Rem Mag and his .50 cal black powder rifle (no idea on brand)
- Buddy #2's Steoger SxS 12 Gauge
- Buddy #3 used my Savage Axis .243

Big Savage presence around here.

Never touched the gut, he was facing me at an angle and I hit the shoulder, pulverized the heart, collapsed the right lung and went out the ribs.

Merkel K3 stalking rifle.....absolutely love it! I have it in 257 Weatherby, and its a shooter! Cut paper @ 200 yds...

.243 is fine. I wouldn't really want to carry the DPMS around, though... Not when a 6lb bolt gun would suffice.

this year one of my friends showed up with a DPMS in .243....I stick to sensible rounds and guns
Like ? lets see your list , that's the point of this thread , to see what's getting what with what , by the way , over the last 3 years there have been many 243's listed
