Is it my imagination, or have asking prices on Diamondbacks gone up about 25% in the past year?

Seems whenever I get interested in a certain gun, I'll hear more seasoned handgun devotee's opine "seems good used (insert object of desire) are getting harder and harder to find...used to be you could buy nice ones all day long for $300" blah blah blah.....

Anyone else find themselves suffering from the same syndrome?

Yeah, but look at it this way. When I bought my diamondback 25 years ago it was only $225. Now you can find the same gun for about $700 to $900. Not bad inflation for 25 years.

Yes the prices have run up a bit in the last 5 years. Just think what they will be like in 10 more years.....

Get one now while you can!

Saw one yesterday that looked new except for one tiny little blemish on the cylinder. $450.

Typically, I see a dealer/collector at a local show about once a year who does nothing but Pythons and Diamondbacks. His Diamondbacks are pristine and start at $600. The Pythons are gorgeous, but running well over $1000.

I'da been on that $450 primo shape Diamondback like white on rice.

I'm not even sure what length barrel I want, as I can make a case in my mind for wanting 2", 4" or 6".

It's good to be flexible when you're on a budget :D

At least! Colt revolver prices are high and going higher, since they're no longer made.

I'm looking for a blued Diamondback .38 special with a six-inch barrel in tip-top condition.
