I’m looking for a more svelte weapon light for my already-less-than-svelte Maxim 9. The suppressor includes 3 Keymod slots, which allows a pic rail and light attachment, but it’s a bulky eyesore when so mounted. Looking for a direct Keymod mount light. But I’m unwilling to 1) pay $500 for said light, or 2) tolerate cheap crap.

That CT might be a little bulky on my pistol. Certainly a lot of horsepower though.

I like the idea of the Vism weapon light, integral Keymod with tool-less installation, but... it’s Vism/NcStar. $30 might be worth trying, but it’s also only 200 lumens. Enough for my typical indoor use expectation, but... it’s Vism/NcStar...

I'll normally just install a section of rail and use a typical handgun light.

I like lights mounted at 12:00.

Pistol lights normally light and have plenty of lumens and aren't that large. BTW, I remember when weapon lights 1st came in vogue with their "stunning" 60 lumens....IMHO Indoors 200 is plenty and there is such a thing as "too much of a good thing" when it comes to lumens.

I get you on the quality, but LEDs have come a long way and they generally hold up OK.

Haha! Man, I know what you mean by a “stunning 60 lumens...” I’ve ran hounds for coons for most of my life, naturally using all manners of lights. My dad and uncle used to wear “miner’s rigs” which were a set of a Batman-esque utility belt full of batteries tied by a coiled cord to a lamp bolted to a hard hat. In 8th grade, I spent a couple day’s wage worth of fence building money on a 1/2M candlepower rechargeable spotlight, which had about 20m running time of battery life... Today, my go-to kit is an LED headlamp which is just as bright as the old miner’s kit, but runs on AAA batteries and can fit in my jeans’ pocket, and a 3M candlepower LED spotlight which cost 1/3 as much as my original 1/2M incandescent spotlight (1/5th the price inflation corrected), and weighs about the same. I’m certain we don’t bag any more fur today than we did 20+ years ago, but we sure can see better and don’t have to carry as much weight.

I “know” 200 lumens is more than bright enough for anything I need to do with this pistol. I’m really just trying to find SOMETHING more streamlined to make this Maxim a little closer to holsterable with the weapon light. Tool-less removal might be a real difference - I could have the light on the pistol on my nightstand where I need it, then remove the light when I holster it to leave the house.

I like the look of that gun, very Judge Dredd!
If it was me I would design a low profile M-lok bracket for a slim tube light, using the free version of Fusion360 and then get it 3D printed or CNCed from a suitable polymer.
I did that with two cable guides for my out-of-production crossbows. The result is exactly what I wanted. For your bracket you would be into it for about $200, maybe less if you had it made like that.
But the result would be awesome, it would fit exactly to the gun as if it had been made for it!
