Never owned a pick up.
I wonder how many gun owners drive American Cars???
That would be another interesting poll.
I do own an American 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo SS 303hp small block V8, but its made in Canada.
im 20. ive only owned trucks. 6 of them as a matter of fact. all single cab Fords. 4 Rangers. 1 F150. and 1 F250. my daily driver is a Ranger 5spd 4 cylinder. i have a mud tuck/hunting truck that i built out of a Ranger i rolled. heres a picture of the ole girl. Dana 44s. now on 35-15.50 Swampers. its the perfect huntin rig that i built with my with my own 2 hands. i have it rigged to where the dogbox bolts to the frame. its light, small, and goes anywhere i need to go(and most places i dont).
I drive a Toyota Camry. I even take it offroading out to the desert shooting range. I wish more truck owners were gun owners though. There's a heap many trucks here locally but not many gun owners.
dixierifleman,
don't most ford rangers look like that anyway after 200,000 miles (you know most everything has rattled off and is somewhere on the side of the road
Just kidding. My dad's ranger went 240 miles and never had any major problems, just a bunch of electrical headaches and a clutch-job.
No stereotype here. I am currently contemplating though whether or not to put my NRA and IDPA stickers on my bland looking Focus. I like my anonymity in traffic.
Yes, that's all I've ever owned. First truck was a beater Ford purchased from my grandfather, second (current) truck was a lightly used Ford that was the right price at the right time (beater Ford finally crapped out completely at 190k). Now I need it for work anyway.
A VW GTI with the clutchless stick would be just about perfect for me (more perfect, if it were RWD or AWD) - enough room for solo road trips and gear (be it camping, camera equipment or guns), good mileage, fun, reasonably priced.
Neither room nor money for a second, unnecessary car though.
2000 Saab 9-3 hatchback and Mrs Scout has the 2001 Saab 9-5 wagon (AKA "The Family Truckster"). Owned Saab's since we we're stationed in Germany 87-91. Five in twenty years.
I'm the only guy at deer camp in car. And yes you can fit at least 2 good sized deer in the back and close the hatch. Use a tarp to keep the blood out of the carpet.
Everyone at camp and the Deer Processor just when they see me pull up.......
