I can't believe this topic has generated 8 pages! I thought this baby had been put to bed thirty years ago. Surely there isn't anyone out there still recommending carrying an empty chamber? Just the risk of short stroking alone is enough to make it one of the worst ideas ever to make its way into the self defense training market. Add to that the fact that gunfights are won or lost in a matter of seconds, and there's just no point debating it. Quite frankly, if you don't feel comfortable carrying a loaded chamber, then you're not comfortable enough with your rig to be carrying it in the first place. You either need to seek training or get a different gun/holster because you either don't understand your gun or you've got a dangerous carry rig.
