Had another carpy day at the office today. :banghead:Came home and powered up the melting pot and started casting some boolits a little later.:)

How many here cast boolits as stress relief therapy?

I don't need to be stressed out to enjoy it, but I agree, doing a simple productive task that you like is pretty relaxing.
I've been sitting home for a few days with a crummy cold and the minor misery that goes along with it. I fired up the casting furnace a popped out about 400 bullets at a leisurely pace. I still have a cold, but feel better about it.

Anyway, I like casting and I usually am totally absorbed with it, so it's a good thing to take my mind off other "stuff".

I don't know if casting is relaxing as I'm retired and pretty relaxed already but I do enjoy it. Ever since I started casting 38 years ago I've enjoyed it. I know this sounds silly but I almost feel like I'm getting away with something. I take those crappy old wheel wts and turn them into nice shiny accurate bullets that are almost free! It doesn't get any better than that.

For now I'm relaxing and letting someone else cast mine, but this is a skill that I look forward to learning some day.

It was nice and relaxing until all my shooting buddies found out I was casting and now I cant keep up!!!!!! I am now making them come over and run them through the lube/sizer for me. I would let them cast but..... they just dont have as good a quality control as I like. If you want it done right, do it yourself.

relaxing and therapeutic. Even took it with me on my last vacation. Wish I had the time for it right now as I need to relax.

Cast/size/lube is as much fun as reloading and shooting in my book. Heck, I enjoy the search for scrap lead and WW's.

On a beautiful spring or fall evening I love to cast out on the deck.
