Random Guy
SI was having a conversation with someone recently about letting people borrow guns. I have in the past let coworkers borrow hunting rifles so they could go hunting with family members, I have a good friend that's had my .22 Browning for several years, I let one friend borrow a pistol for a few months when he sent his normal carry gun into have some custom work done to it. I let a cousin borrow a small .38 when moved to "the city" for a year or so, until she could afford her own.
So I guess it's not really a big deal to me, assuming I know the person. But the guy I was talking to thought I was insane, he was of the "never under conditions, to anyone" train of thought.
It just got me to thinking, I wonder how most other people think of this.
If in the "no, never" crowd I'd love to know if it's mainly because of your potential liability in something they could do with the gun, or if its concern about not getting your gun back.
