.....But how, I ask you, could he be meaner than a junkyard dog???

I've had 2 Kel-tec p-32's, sold one 'cause I needed some funds, but stil, and always will, have the other one. I've shot countless rounds through both of them, and I've yet to experience the elusive rimlock. It's my jogging gun, and if I don't have a 1911 or my Kahr P40 Covert, it's in my pocket...for fun!

the beretta tomcat .32 is pretty good enough gun... if it wasnt i wouldnt own one right now.. its pretty effective with 7+1 shots , i believe it is plenty enough gun for self defense . i have my Tomcat loaded with silvertips.

Used to carry a Seecamp 32 but switched to the P-11 Kel Tec. Low recoil, accurate and a very very light gun that is easy to grab with big hands.

I've been known to carry an Interarms PPK/S in .32 from time to time and have felt more than comfortable with it at my side. The reason I've felt that way, far more than the caliber in question, is my overall familiarity with the gun and the fact that I can hit what I'm aiming at most all of the time, given the years and years of practice that I've exercised with the Walther line.

True, a .32 may not be for everyone. But IMO, a dependable and accurate gun that you can operate effectively certainly should be at the top of everyone's list when personal safety is considered.

Sometime carry a Sauer 38H Luftwaffe auto. Friend Jim, who is a good shot took one try at a 15" metal target at 100 yards. It went ding!

very lightly dressed (shorts and sleeveless T ) I pocket carry a Berreta .32acp and I have it in my pocket all times when out in the yard.
I've shot it enough into wet phone books and stacked cardboard to know I don't want to take even 1 slug from it much less 2-3 of 'em.

My problem is

1. there is no .380 in the state

2. for the price of a P32 I can get a SCCY cpx, and even if the gun is cp**
they have a no questions asked warranty.

3. I Like to try the Bersa before I buy, but nobody has one.

I own a KT P-32 and carry it when only something very small will do. It's a good pocket gun but you will have to practice with it before you will be confident enough to carry it.

I carry Fiocchi 60gr JHP ammo in it because it's rated @1200fps. Yes, I know I won't get 1200fps from a short barrel but if I start out higher than anything else on the market I'll end up with more velocity from a short barrel when it's all done. BTW, I'm talking about the original 60gr JHP ammo which is still available, not the newer ammo which uses a Hornady XTP/HP bullet. I wouldn't use that round.

Here is a target shot with 7 rounds from 10 yards out, two handed, unsupported. Don't let anyone tell you a small .32 Auto isn't capable of acceptable self defense accuracy.

I own and carry an FEG AP-MBP 7.65 (32acp). In the warmer month, without a lot of clothing (Coats); it is my primary carry weapon. Walther PPK style, which fits my hand perfectly. I can't even like a true mouse gun. If I can't fit all 4 fingers around the grip, then it's too small for me. But the 32acp is an excellent self defense round for carrying. Small enough weapon to fit in a pocket or IWB. No recoil, loud blasts, or flair. When you're within 20-30 feet from an attacker, it does exactly what it's designed to do. I wouldn't use it at further distances, like in a house; but for true PERSONAL defense; I.e. when carrying concealed; it's the perfect weapon.

To the OP, I have a Tomcat .32 ACP, and it has been a fine pistol. I've never had any issues with it and it shoots well. To the guy above who said someone has issues with its recoil, that's just unbelievable to me. It's an easy shooting gun. I've run mine on nothing but Silvertips, and it's been flawless.

That said, it's too bulky for its caliber, and I'll likely be selling it, if my wife doesn't want it.

I have an LWS-32 now that will be going everywhere with me. It's a lot smaller than the 3032, much better made and conceals like nothing else. I'm also on the waiting list for an LWS-380.

The .32 ACP may not be the ultimate manstopper but it's a hell of a lot better than nothing and the Seecamp is so easy to hide.

.32

Got myself a little .32 guardian that thrives on Hornady 60gr.jhp/xtp. Think I like the HP from them, as God forbid I ever am in the position of having to use it, it will be up close and VERY personal. I refer to it as my specialist mouse (ENT SPECAILIST- EAR, NOSE AND THROAT)

To Kingpin008...

Yes, it's a 4 year old thread. So, if it seems odd to you that folks are still reading and responding to it...what were YOU doing?

:p

I carry my Tomcat Inox all the time, day and night. Buffalo Bore Lead Flat Nose in the chamber and first in mag, followed by either Fioochi or S&B 73 grain FMJ for the rest of the magazine.

I HAVE had multiple rimlock problems with both HP's and the Buffalo Bores when loaded in the magazine.

Yes....I usually have a Kel-Tec P32 on me.
But sometimes a Beretta M1935, FEG AP-MBP, Carpati Md74....and occasionally an old Davis D32 .32acp derringer.
Normally I use Sellier & Bellot 73-grain FMJ's in these.
Yes, I carry larger caliber pistols as well...it all depends.
