Are you an AR owner, has your rifle never suffered any kind of stoppage, then let's hear it, and please post the make/model.

Me. :)

1 - Stag lower, BCM stock and a CMMG upper. 2 - Colt lower, unknown upper, crappy M4 style stock.

I use good magazines, good ammo and keep my rifle lubed. :D

I used to own a bushmaster AR. The only trouble I had with missfeeds was when it was dirty or I was shooting crappy rounds. That is why I dont own it anymore. Thats why the AK and SKS are the best to own. You can shootem dirty and they wont fail.

I got one last week , no jams yet. :)

I have shot a home built one from model1 sales and have had not jams. I have also shot a River Rock Arms build and have had no jams.

I have a pistol that has never jammed.

I have a shotgun that has never jammed.

I had an AK that never jammed.

I do NOT have an AR that has never jammed.

Not yet.

My pre-'94 Colt Competition HBAR jams consistently at about the 200-300 round mark, forcing a thorough cleaning before it'll behave again.

I attribute it to Colt being just a bit too tight on the tolerances for the sake of them being able to call it a competition model.

My issued FN M16A2s never had that problem.

any semi auto gun that hasnt jammed just hasnt been shot enough. Eventually they all will even if its just caused by a bad round.

My Stag AR Model3 has never had an issue of any kind, granted I don't shoot it for 500+ round sessions. But it digests Wolf 62g like nobodies business, after shooting it gets cleaned, lubed and is 100% ready for the next time out

Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf, I have had it for a year now and not one single hiccup. I have used nothing but hand loaded ammo in it.

Bushmaster AR-10, this rifle has been super accurate and sure reliable. I have had this rifle for 5-6 years This rifle has also become my favorite hunting rifle and it always goes bang. I have put factory and surplus ammo through when it was available but the last couple of years nothing but hand loads in it.

Stag Arms model 6 Varminter, This is another one I have that has had nothing but hand loads through it. She loves 77 grain bullets and has never let me down. This one I have had less than a year but she sure is a tack driver and has never had a single malfunction.

My other two AR's are a Colt H-Bar and a Bushmaster M-4. Both rifles have had malfunctions but only during the time I had a laps of good judgemnt and bought some Wolf .223 ammo for them. Never again will I buy any. With my hand loads or quality factory ammo they function flawlessly.

Nothing special about my rifles, they are as you notice from several different manufacturers. what makes them reliable is good maintenance and reliable ammunition. They will all malfunction if not taken care of and poor ammunition is used.

My home built had some short stroking that went away after the 1st 20 rounds thru it.

Never failed since then, including the 4 day class and numerous rifle matches.

OTOH, I have 2 AKs that have never failed.

My SP1 that I purchased new around 1978 or 79. Colt mags, GI mags, mil-surp ammo, factory ammo, my own reloads, makes no difference. Not one failure to feed, fire or eject.

I can say the same thing about this Colt Government Model I bought in February of 1973.

Now ask me why I tend to prefer the real thing rather than a clone...

ive owned three ar 15's

1 colt match target rifle
2 bushmaster 16" hbar's

had the colt from 1998 to 2003 and in that time fired maybe 3000 rounds with maybe 5 malfunctions.

owned the bushmasters from 2004 till now and with about 7000 rounds each never a single hiccup from either, ever.

i clean them all pretty regularly, although here the last few years, not after every single trip.

1 colt rifle, 3000rds, 5 jams.

2 bushmasters, 15000-16000 rds between them, 0 jams.

beautiful pair you have there saxon.

i had a gov model just like it that got stolen from me. it was the best running pistol ive ever had, and i could have bought an sp1 similar to that one you have but it was home-made select-fire so i passed on it.

it was a mistake but paranoia got the better of me.

ARs:

20" A2 Bushy - failure to feed 1 time with Wolf ammo in a mag that was dropped (I think rounds just shifted forward)

16" Bushy M4gery - 1 short stroke with Radway with someone else shooting (loose hold), no other issues

20" A4 Bushy - 1 short stroke the first round ever through it (BCG was gritty), never jammed again.

14.5" Bushy M4gery - never jammed

AR-10 - never jammed

Non-ARs:

AK-74 - failure to extract multiple times

SLR-106 - failure to feed 1 time with short 45gr ammo

Mini 14 - jam-o-matic

PTR-91 - never jammed, and it's shot some questionable ammo too

Saiga 12 - won't feed with pro-mags otherwise 100%

All other AKs have never jammed, but only 1, my Saiga SGL-20, can keep up with the ARs in accuracy.

Beretta 390 - never jammed

XD-40 sub - hates WWB 165gr ammo, failures to extract, 100% with everything 180gr.

Springfield 1911 A1 - won't feed hollow point ammo reliably

XD-45 and -9, Beretta 92 and 96 are 100%

RRA mid length upper bushmaster lower. No problems with I would say about 3K downrange. I am not very good about cleaning after shooting, either. I have shot the rifle dirty and with little lube and no problems.

My Del-ton middy on a DPMS lower has never had a failure of any kind. I have run about 800 rounds or assorted ammo including some wolf and brown bear. I also only use P-Mags

my machine gun has quite a few rounds through it now (i'd have to look in the book to get an exact count) and has never malfunctioned. (except for when it has the 22lr upper on it)

my noveske/magpul ltd edition has never failed to fire/eject/load, but the bolt wouldn't hold open on the last round the first few times i shot it. does that count?

i have over 15,000 rnds through my RRA (two different uppers) and if you don't count ammo failures from handloads, the only time it has failed me was in the last stage of a match last year after i'd fired several thousand rounds without cleaning (like, in months, including a carbine class) and had a bunch of mud in the action (course of fire had us doing a ridiculous number of mag changes lying in the mud). the action spring just didn't have enough umph to push the bolt into battery. was kind of a bummer. (apparently, you're supposed to change the action spring sooner than 10,000 rnds. who knew?! :) )

2.
A Bushmaster 16 inch fluted, free floated upper on a Bushmaster lower that I assembled. Also a Bushmaster 24 inch heavy barrel on a Bushmaster lower. I've had the carbine for 12 years and the longer rifle for 8.

One in particular has been flawless so far. LMT CQB16

CQB16_large.jpg

I'm sure eventually it will have it's day.

I have a White Oak Precision NM upper who's Pac Nor barrel is about shot out which has never jammed. I have a White Oak Persision NM upper with a Kreiger barrel which has never jammed.

I have a Browning Buck Mark 5.5 target which has never jammed.

It kills me when somone complains the AR's always jam. This is always an issue when they feed it cheap ammo and use cheap out of spec mags. Then the AK's and SKS always seem run perfect which we know is not the real truth.
