I'm assuming you're talking about taking a DA revolver and making it DAO by either removing the hammer spur or replacing the hammer with a spurless hammer. If so, then putting on a spurred hammer SHOULD convert it back to DA/SA.
It depends. Maybe this'll be moved to the gunsmithing section.. not that I are one.
What you don't want do do is to saw off the hammer spur on a DA revolver without also grinding down the sear so it's innoperable in SA mode. Also, most sears etc are hand fitted so were you to want to change it back, a gunsmith would likely be involved to fit a new one/parts.
Ive converted a couple of S&W revolvers's to DAO. I dont see it being any problem converting them back with the correct parts.
I also had a SIG P245 that came converted to DAO, and they included the original parts (hammer, trigger, and decocker) with the gun when I got it. When I went to sell it, DAO seemed to be an issue for a lot of people, so I put the original parts back in, and it was as good as new. Sold quickly there after too.
