Does anybody have any experience with specifically the double stack RIA 1911? I've found plenty of info on their 1911's in general, but very little on the double stacks that are running $400 on centerfire right now.

I assume they measure up to all the good feedback on the single-stacks, but you know what they say about assumptions.

I have had no trouble with my double stack Para Gun Rights model, but its is about 800$ But if you could afford that, its a great gun. I only keep 13 in the mag and 1 in the hole for a number of reasons. But, it has ran perfect so far. I think you will be OK if the magazines are good. from what i hear they are the issue when it comes to double stacked 1911's. I think im right when i say that there should be no difference between the single 1911 and the double 1911 except a wider grip and bigger mag. If that is true, then make sure you have good mags.

I have one

I purchased one about 3 years ago and have had no problems with it. Para 14 mags and grips fit and work good. I wouldn't have a problem buying another.

Have fun with it.
