I love it, and completely agree.

Myself, I'm not overly creative which is a good thing as it makes me much more satisfied with factory offerings. My 4" Target Grey GP-100 is perfect for me and I can't think of a thing I'd change.

Smith and Wesson L frame chambered for 10mm Magnum (lengthened 10mm case) using a titanium cylinder (for sufficient strength) with a triple lock style lock up, 5 inch gain twist rifling SS barrel with partial underlug. Forged hammer, and trigger. No MIM parts need apply. Stainless steel frame. Finish the entire piece in Robar NP3. Fully tuned/polished action

That would be a good all around revolver. Weather proof, powerful, able to fire a wide range of ammo (.40S&W, 10mm, and 10mm Magnum), and not quite as big as an N frame. I don't know that the gain twist rifling would add anything but S&W uses it on the .460 and it seems to perform pretty well there.

There are so many great .357magnum revolvers that I can pretty much buy my "dream" one off the shelf with a little help from a gunsmith to slick up the internals.

But, I have a second favorite cartridge I would like to see in a "dream" revolver. I would like a 5" barreled Ruger Sp101, barrel cut to a half lug type, chambered for the .327 federal magnum and all the internals slicked up nice by a great gunsmith. I would like adjustable but very solid target rear sight and gold bead up front. I would also like some custom engraving, something to personalize the gun to me and a set of tastefully done checkered wood grips.

somebody may at one time made one, i dont have a lot of history on these. but here goes. a 6-8 " barreled 6 shot .30 carbine stainless revolver, double action, obviously large frame. adjustable sights and scope mountable. that is pretty much it. just a nice simple revolver that shoots 30 cal carbine rounds. something like a S&W model 29.

I think my dream revolver would be an titanium 10mm version of this with the aluminum aristocrat sight and porting on the top with afzelia xylay grips.

Oh, and remove the internal lock of course...

Bowen 6" 44mag off of Ruger Redhawk frame. The 6 inch barrel is based upon the lovely Smith & Wesson L-frame style barrel and is machined from a 2 inch diameter stainless steel Kreiger blank. The muzzle brake, underlug, grooved rib and front sight base are all integral.
