Dumbest thing you've seen at the range?

been finding a lot of brass that was shot in the wrong gun.

380 out of 9mm
9mm out of 40sw
even found a 45acp that was swelled up from being fired from something.
HOW DID THIS STUFF EVEN FUNCTION

sad fact is the shooters had picked up there brass and had it in a pile on the bench , they should have noticed something was not right with the spent brass.

At a public pistol range about six months ago. It had rained earlier that morning. College Guy four lanes down is introducing his girlfriend to shooting.

I use 'introducing' lightly. He pretty much handed her a 1911 and stepped back a few feet.

For a few minutes it just seems like she wasn't very talented. Her stance was terrible, and she couldn't have been using the sights. She was pretty much point shooting.

Then, a huge splash about 7 feet in front of the lane. SHE SHOT A PUDDLE. The target was at 25 yards, and she hit the ground right in front of her. Then she did it again, maybe 10 yards from the line.

No one corrected her.

Did I mention that College Guy only brought one set of hearing protection? When she started shooting he just jammed his fingers in his ears.

I once saw someone at my local range try and chamber a AR 15 with there was already a round in the chamber. He and another were trying to figure out why it wouldn't chamber when I just looked in the breach to see a double feed. No clue how it happened considering he was just chambering for the first time.
