I've been loading ELD-X bullets in 30 caliber and 6.5mm for several years. I've found them to be easy to load for and very accurate. I've not put one into game yet, but I've read plenty of success stories. They expand a little more than some guys like, but since all of them tend to be heavy for caliber penetration seems to be adequate. They are reasonably priced too.
Some of the high BC bullets don't match the advertised ratings, but some independent tests I've seen say the ELD bullets are among the closest. If I owned a 270 they would be near the top of my list. I'm shooting the 143's in my 6.5 Creedmoor and178's in my 308 and 30-06. They are what will be in my rifles this hunting season.
