Hornady Eld-X 270 145 gr.

I was convinced to buy some 277 eld-x bullets from Hornady, 145 gr. I was told they would be better than a SST and that they had been tested on game extensively before release.
How do you think this would do out of a 270 WSM on various game?

I have used them in 30-06, .308, and 300 Win Mag, have been impressed with all of them.

Sst is a grenade, eldx is a bullet, albeit slicked down for drag reduction. Which fits your style better? Personally, I disdain the sst for the close range jacket separation the faster cartridges produce. That being said, some people love the detonation of those things. The eldx does not splode and is supposed to expand great over a much broader range of impact velocities.
