Elk Hunter Charged by Mountain Lion

I like to think of myself as a fairly collected guy. I was a paramedic a long time ago and functioned well through all sorts of nonsense. Mountain lions, for some reason, scare the daylights out of me, and the few times I've come across one it was all I could do to not to curl up into a ball and cry like a little girl.

Mt lions have my respect but they don’t scare me. I did take a picture of this one though.
He was 7’10” and weighed in at 164 lbs.

Nice heavy body on that one. Mine was a bit leaner. The one that busted out of the bushes within ten feet of me was very long-bodied, long and slim but not underweight. It was also grey, not brown. I looked for him for a couple years but never saw it again, but that was on the other side of the river from where I usually hunt, so not a lot of time spent looking for him. That big grey hide would have really be something though.
