im thinking about switching my rear apature to a micrometer sight. but first i have some general questions.

1. do you guys find the rear sight more acurrate, better, wrose, yes no?

2. what should i expect to pay

3. is it pretty durable

If you mean the service milled sight, then:-

most durable of all the adjustable ones.

Individual examples can vary in the amount leaf-to-slide wobble and screw backlash. These were not precision instruments, they would have been far more expensive if they were. I have done some selective assembly of components to make a better one.

Smaller adjustments possible than any other type.

Lateral adjustment possible if fitted with Parker 8/53 adaptor.

Usually plentiful and cheap.

the mk1 rear sights usually run around $30. they are durable (battlefield tested), and are superrior to the 300/600 flip for accuracy.
