Eotech and back up sights

I just got a new Eotech 512. I put it on an m4 carbine (Colt 6920). I have not fired any rounds with it yet. I noticed that is takes up pretty much all of the rail space. I was thinking about putting up a back up iron sight behind the eotech but there doesn't seem to be enough rail space.
Any suggestions?

I have one mounted like that. If you have standard handguards, put it as far forward as possible and there is just barely enough room to mount a smaller BUIS (a DPMS Mangonel in my case, but a Troy or MBUS should fit also). Switching to Magpul MOE handguards would let you move the EOTech one or two notches forward, which is helpful - that's what I did to have more room to operate the buttons.
