Has anyone got any 'live fire' high intensity flashlight war stories they would like to share with us?

I have a Night-Ops Gladius and a SureFire 6P but have never (thankfully) had to use them in anger. I am curious if the Surefire true stories are accurate or more marketing material.

Yes those lights really do work.

They seem to work best fairly close with the element of suprise.

Gains you the opportunity to figure out what is going on and what you are going to do next.

Even works on drunks trying to run you over while you are walking down the street.

Oh, and welcome to THR!

WELCOME!

Nice to see you premier on this forum.
Waz up, Matt. If Hso says 'welcome' & 'premier', then i'm thinking you must be celeb & a person of integrity.

I'll add my welcome to Hso's & Shooters (who lives in NM, a place of beauty).

Um hmm. The element of surprise has won a lot of battles.

Them that gets stuck in one way of doing things gets surprized
when the other group breaks the rules & does it differently.

By the way, newbies by the drinks.
I'll take a Blue Moon Ale, por favor.

Oh, 'ardon me; my gourmet pizza is almost hot in the toaster oven. Lunch time.

Hello all. I would not say I was a celebrity but I try to act with integrity.

Let's see...

On a dark, very cold night in Michigan's Manistee forest, I used my surefire G2Z on an errand of the highest importance. I had dropped my pot holder in the snow, and my boiling water needed to be added to my meal-in-a-bag to make dinner.

The surefire litterally showed me what was below the surface of the new snow. I was able to see the shadow of the black pot holder under the snow and dinner was saved!

Yesterday, a spring guide pin ejected itself from a rifle I was working on in the garage, the trusty G2Z allowed me to see behind the freezer and locate the pin!

Sorry, that's about as exciting as my stories get. On Halloween, the light did a great job of getting drivers to slow down so our kids could finish crossing the street.
