I'm in the never ending search for a scope. I have read everything I can find (including the scope sticky) and have come up with a list of must haves.

FFP. This is a must as I would like to range at all power levels.

Mil dot/line. I prefer dot + .05 hash.

Mil turrets. I can't imagine trying to deal with Mil and MOA.

And of course I don't want to spend any money! lol

I will be shooting .223 AR 15 at 500 yards at paper and steel. But I also want to be able to hunt prairie dogs. I would like to at least try 1000 yards and work on that some.

I would like name brands (who wouldn't) but I will never be spending $1000+ on a scope.

Millet had some that looked interesting but didn't have a FFP that I could find.

I just ran across Falcon. Anyone have any experience with these?
Specifically the 5.5-25X50FFP http://www.falconoptics.com/5.5-25x50FFP.php

This is the first cheap scope I've found that meets all my needs.

Turret stops would be nice but I don't think I'll have any need for that.

I will also say that I would like to buy enough scope for a future .308 gun I plan on owning. That future gun will most likely fit this scope better than the current AR 15.

Ive heard some people have problems with them but a lot of people seem to be happy.

If you can extend your budget a little there are several nice FFP scopes around 700 bucks from Weaver, SWAF-SS and I think Vortex.

I was just looking at vortex. I can't find any that are mil/mil. Most everything has MOA turrets.

How do capped turrets work? Can they be adjusted by hand after you remove the cap? I'm always loosing caps.

I see them now. But at $950 for the FFP, that kinda out of range for what I wan't to spend.

Anyone with personal experience with the Falcon Scopes?
