Do you handload? That's the only way I just ammo with many of my rifles. If you're interested, I can check and see how much spare 8mm Rem Mag brass I have. At one time I had a lot... too much for me to ever shoot, but I can't remember if I sold some off or not.
I do not handload.
If I run across a left handed model 700 in a 8rm or at least a magnum length action I may have to to buy it. Then I will probably start handloading...

Can 8mm Remington Mag brass be made from 7mm Shooting Times Westerner?
Is there a better option?
I've never done it but I would think it would be possible. That's probably easier to find than a 358 STA, which is the other 8mm Rem Mag child.

I have a weird OCD about having the correct headstamp on my brass when possible. I was able to find some 8mm-06 brass on Midway a few years back. I think it's Qual-Carts.

Mine by far is the 8x57 JRS.

I've taken everything from Alaskan moose and bear on down to Texas javelina and black and white-tailed deer.

I keep it fed with 200NP's at 2,650fps, for everything I hunt.

My first full-strength rifle was a war-era VZ-24, which began my admiration of all things CZ. I thoroughly regret not getting an FN-49 before armageddonphobia prices set in. Have never hunted with 8mm, but used to love pouring Romanian 150gr surplus ammo through my VZ-24. It's still the smoothest bolt gun I've run across.

Here's a pic of a 9-point I shot here in Texas about 3 years ago with my 8x57 BRNO Mauser. I used a 160gr Barnes TTSX handload and it stopped in its tracks.

I am kind of partial to 8 mm guns. I think it's a combination of nostalgia, moderate recoil. and the fact that they just work.

Top is 7X57AI
The bottom is a 9.3X62
The three others are 8 Mauser

Grandson with Kimber MT in 325 WSM he got from me. It's his favorite rifle. The photo of him is about 4 miles from the RZR.

I bet it is! Wonder if that's got more case capacity than a 325 WSM? I think my 8mm-06 fits nicely between my 30-06 rifles and my 35 Whelen. You can always make an argument for the 338-06 as well; but I lean towards the 8mm stuff when it comes down to those two calibers (.323 & .338).
Case capacity is a little less. I've loaded for both, but don't recall the difference. With 200 gr. Speer Hotcore bullets the velocity difference was a little over 75 fps. I was loading for a friend's 325 at the time and was surprised by the small difference.

My favorite? 7,92x57 ... for the 1937 S147 K98k un-cut, bolt-mismatch (o'course) Bringback that my maternal grandfather gift me in 1968. "Uncle" somebody had brought it back for him from the ETO.

2nd choice, a 7,92x57 wz.29 that was scrubbed for the Spanish Civil War and purchased by me on 28Sep76 for $59.95 at Chesapeake Gun Works (along with 2 cases of belted WWII British BESA MG ammo [7,92x57 btw]:)). The rifle, I gave to my Dad.

I think that one key factor for the "8mm Mauser" not taking off in the US is because (as I was told & observed years ago) SAAMI & MFRs erred on the side of caution regarding the 7,92x57 commercial hunting loads to be offered on the shelves. A concern over the old .318 vs the new .323 bullet diameters. A lot of folks only bought commercial ammo and the commercial "8mm Mauser" ammo was anemic.

Here's a couple of pictures of my 8mm Remington Mag. When I got it, it had a laminate stock a previous owner had swapped out. I found this factory stock on eBay for under $100.

I have two good friends that have the .325 WSM and I have been reloading for them for a number of years. Those rifles are nice, shoot well and have accounted for some big game in N.A, Russia and Africa. I would consider one if I were looking for a medium bore but unfortunately I think the popularity of the .325 WSM is low and not really getting any better.

I had a Browning rifle in 325 WSM. I loved the round, but haven't seen any available locally for years. I ended up selling the rifle.

My current favorite 8mm is my 8.6 mm (.338 WinMag).

All of mine are K98 - 8X57 JS.
One is a custom for hunting, the others are original military with all the markings, which sets some people back.
Just like some people don't want to own an AK47, they think the rifle is the enemy. = I don't have an AK because I
don't like the caliber.
Not trying to say I know a lot about 8MM, I just collect WW1 & WW2 rifles, not a huge collection but
I like them.
I reload for my custom version, which I bought as is. I tried a few different bullets and nothing factory.
Ended up using Nosler 180 grain ballistic tip near max load and itis good enough at 100 yards.

Favorite 8mm is the Grandfather of all Intermediate Rifle Cartridges. The 7.92x33 aka 8x33 aka 8mm Kurz.

My 12.5 inch AR pistol launches the now discontinued 125gr HP at over 2400fps with A1860. That bullet is absolute death ray on deer too. They definitely expand and hold together

No .32 Wichester Special fans? 🤔

I don’t have one, just surprised it wasn’t up there.

I do have a milsurp k98K in 7.92x57, its the only 8mm in the stable. But in all honesty I haven’t shot it in years and years.

Stay safe.

I've got one on a old mauser I picked up in TX. Still has the stock barrel with simple ream job. Haven't fooled around with it in 30+ years. My old sierra manual has loads for it, as it was pretty common in the 60's and 70's. Mine is a 8mm/06 improved, but the only dies I have are straight 8mm/06. I just fireformed 30/06, and then just neck sized the cases. Used .323"170 gr hornady and 4064. I've probably still got the work up data somewheres. Never got real serious with it, as it was and still is, rough as a cob.
