Finally held a CZ P-09. Will trade FNS-9 for it.

If you need parts you might try Cajun gun works. I haven't used them or Angus at CZ but I hear/read good things about both. I shoot the PCR and it just keeps getting better, more accurate than I am and it eats anything I have put in it. That includes win whit box, rem bulk and the cheap russian stuff from walmart. I would like to shorten the reach to the trigger and cgw has that kit just getting the funds to do it. Have ordered a holster kit from Old Faithful should be here in 3-4 days. Will take some picts and post how it fits after.
Good shooting

There aren't a lot of parts out for the P-09 yet. But the only parts I'm really interested in [at this time] are the +2 base plates and night sights. I believe the night sights for the P-07 should work on the P-09, so I'm going to give them a try.

I like the PCR. Actually, . . . I like MOST CZ products, really. Let me know how that mod works out for ya.

Updated. . . . got the +2 base plates. Makes the gun look even more menacing.

Did they say when, on the P-09 specific tritiums, and/or price?

My old friend seems to be having a ball with his P-09.

I wish him well with it.

Always nice to see what customers are saying about CZ service, good and bad.

Just like any other gun on the market, you will see exceptions, and that is
usually fixed with a quick trip back to CZ-USA.

So I'm sorry to hear of your troubles, but do want to thank all in this thread you for
your patronage of CZUB/DW products.

CZ-USA said specific tritiums for the P-09 are coming soon...as is a NEW CZ compact pistol...nope, can't say any more than that...;)
That is good news. Maybe a single stack, sub compact 9MM? :)

I know you can't say, but we can guess, huh. That is what is missing in their pistol line up as the 2075 RAMI isn't really that compact compared to today's offerings in 9MM.

Agreed, Pilot. The Rami, though nice, is too wide for many conceal carry body types. It's why I didn't choose it. A slim DA/SA [with omega trigger] would see me trading my XDs 9mm for that!

As for the P-09, please get the dedicated tritium sets out soon! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! :)

Love my P07 and hope to add it's P09 big brother. I had an FNX40 and I agree, the CZ is a much better feeling gun in the hands.

Just took the P-09 to the range again today. I have to say that this may be my most favorite handgun [9mm] of all those I've owned. More quarter sized ragged Holes. 7 yards, but still, . . . excellent pistol. LOVE the recoil management. You can't go wrong with one!

Had mine out again Friday...so easy and fun to shoot. CZ-UB/CZ-USA hit it outa the park with this one!
As to the new pistol, no idea, not yet, but knowing CZ, it will something cool.

My sincere hope would be for a thinned down [1" wide, tops] version of the P-07, perhaps with a slightly shorter grip, . . . ~12 rounds.

Just watched Hickok45's new video on the P-09. It obviously agrees with him. He was hitting very well with it.

Actually, what would be best would be a thinned down P-07 about a half inch shorter handle, a semi-staggered magazine that would thin the handle to no more than an inch wide [probably around 8 rounds, perhaps 9], . . . and a slide of no more than an inch. Just below an inch would be even better. Barrel length no shorter than 3.5". Slide release and safety/decocker levers thinned down a bit, too.

That would make for an awesome conceal carry pistol!

If it is just going to be another pistol with the same width as their other "compact" sized guns, then it is a waste of time.

I think a good holster makes or breaks the carry deal - I can conceal my full size CZ SP-01 Phantom under a t-shirt in Arizona summer weather with a High Noon Down Under holster on a High Noon Rock Steady belt.

What's interesting is the size differences between the Phantom and the P-09...or lack thereof.

I think with a good rig, I could carry the P-09 easily. Now the main difference is I dress around the gun, and I am old, fat and married, so I don't care what I look like to others - slobovia, here I come. If I was trying to impress and wearing tailored clothes, or had "a look" I needed to maintain, I can see how much smaller sidearms would be a better fit, but it still comes down to the holster for carry. This High Noon Double Jeopardy makes the compact CZ P-01 disappear,

I'd like to see CZ come up with some interesting variants on the P-07/P-09 for carry, but I could live with the P-09 as is, with the right rig. ;)

I tend to wear more fitted clothing . . . and am relatively "thin", . . . so a thin carry gun is of value to me. It's why I ended up with the XDs [9mm] when I'm not much into striker fire systems. But yeah, there is no way I could possibly conceal my P-09, except for winter, . . . and leaving my jacket on all the time.

But as I said, unless they do something different with the width, CZ already has a few small carry options, so that's why I'm hoping for something in the thin area, . . . . . . . . which, if I'm thinking realistically, would require all new equipement to produce a thinner "slide in frame" setup. An inch width is the absolute most I would be comfortable with in a carry pistol.

And yeah, I saw that lack of difference between the Phantom and P-09. Basically the same pistol, but with a different style of ejection port.

Actually, the P-09 and the Phantom have a lot of differences inside as well, including lock up, trigger mechanism, recoil assembly, barrel lug design and a few other. :) I'm afraid my wonderful Phantom is the last of a dying breed...

Do you think they will discontinue the Phantom?

As for carry guns, I wonder how it would be to get the [for example] PCR and get those thin aluminum grips for it? I'm still going to hold out for anymore news on the new one they said they would come out with. Again, . . . my needs would be something less than an inch.

I doubt it - it's both very popular and been accepted for military service, so it will be around for a while. :)
The PCR is an incredible carry pistol, and give it a shot - do you mean the VZ grips or the ones from CZ Custom?

The aluminum ones from cz custom. I'm not really a fan of the VZ grips.

The PCR is nearly 1.4 inches wide, so I'm going to bet it would be . . . . . too wide. Really, wideness is my arch enemy.
