Question for you - did you order these direct from https://www.gunsnammo.com? If so, how did the transaction work out for you? I'm interested in the M39s as well but this website is the only place I see that has them. Thanks!

I don't have an m/39, but I do have a Finn: 1933 Tikka m/27, all serial numbers matching, built on a 1904 Tula receiver. A veteran of the Winter War and Continuation War (and maybe even the Lapland War), it is still in wartime condition, having escaped post-war repair or refurbishment. It is an early Century Arms import.

this is my favorite 39 finn, its a veteran of the finnish russian war with a ex bore. i raised the front sight to zero it at 100yds and it out shoots most of my mausers. i also have a 91 finn and a 96 swedish mauser that the finns used. the 39 finnish rifles just feel like a battle rifle when compared to a russian 91. eastbank.

BluesDancer, I ordered the rifles direct from the website using their secure order link & had zero problems. Order to delivery is 3-5 days, depending on weekend in between. Really superlative - I emailed a copy of my C&R & there were no hitches at all. One thing: don't assume about any particular item of the rifle - if it isn't addressed in the description, and you can't see it in the pics, you cannot assume anything. This is not a criticism, just a reminder. I am happy with my two rifles, but there are things about them I didn't ask & found out on arrival. Again, nothing against them, but if matching numbers or anything else isn't addressed, don't assume. That said, I would buy from them again, and may well do it soon... :)

Numeric, those are nice - wish I had gotten interested in them before the market went nuts. I have a bunch of Garands, but getting interested in these now...

Eastbank, super rifle - one of mine is in that ball park!

I will post some pics when I get a chance to do some portrait work... :D

My VKT M39 shoots better than eye can (see what I did there?). The Sako I used to own ( damn me for selling it to pay rent back in the day) was even better. Amazing rifles, cannot be put in the same category as other Mosins.

I too ordered My SAKO M39 from here. I placed my order on a wednesday night and received it that friday (I have a C&R). Excellent service and price. My M39 is the favorite of my mosins, I hunt with it. Patricia 'Pat' Burns is who you deal with, great lady.

I have three M39 rifles, one 1942 Sako that bears the scars of Continuation War but with excellent bore.

The other two are 1960 NO Name unissued like new rifles. One of these was completely accurized and came out of the crate that way. The seller was a bit astounded when I showed it to him couple days later. I have read some of these were accurized for officer's competition while some state it was done for other purposes.

I love seeing folks get into Finns. Such a great value, incredible accuracy, user friendly sights, robust modifications made by the SA, and just fun rifles to shoot!

I don't have an M39, yet, but I have a couple of Finn-captured 91/30s. The M39 is very high on my acquire-soon list.
