When I go with friends to the range, usually no more than 100 or 150. If I go by myself, maybe around 200. Any more than that and my arms start feeling like jell-o! (Yeah, I know, I need to hit the gym)
Little by little and step by step... let her try. Let another person, perhaps the range instructor, perhaps a woman, give her instructions... It sounds like you already have some friction with your Mom on this issue.
You take her, shoot next to her, with a quiet .22 and let the "expert" take care of Mom.
Went thru 250 rds of 9mm and 200 rds of 38 on friday...I went w/ a bunch of guys..if I go by myself I usually shoot 400 or so of each........in about 1/2 the time....on IDPA night less than 100 usually(9mm)...although I like to leave the range w/ a little ammo left.....you never know when the paranoia will hit
I'll burn up about 150-250 rounds of .45 and up to around 300 rounds of .22 out of an old bolt gun. I might shoot more, but I get a little tired sometimes, I have the bad habit of choking my handgun.
When at the range, about 100 rds per gun. When at an IDPA match, about 150rds(I run thru the stages twice). When I shoot an IPSC match, anywhere from 400 rds to 500 rds. IPSC = jello arm
Hey timbo, try a Hogue slip-on grip and alittle corn starch on your hands when you shoot. Used to do the same same. Worked for me.
When I go to the club range I'll usually take a couple rifles and 2 to 4 pistols. I shoot three to 5 hundred rounds.
At the ranges at home I shoot a hundred to maybe 300 hundred a couple times a week.
I've got a short range, to about 40 yards, in the back yard where I'll shoot about every couple days but the brass is too hard to find in the grass.
I normally bring a 550pack of .22s around 200-250 of 9mm and around 100-150 of .357 Mag when I go shooting with friends, they bring a few more boxes of 9mm and .357. We shoot bi-weekly, I shoot weekly.
N3rday, once you get her in there she might just change her mind My ex was deathly afriad of guns, turns out she likes 'em very much once she went to the range with me. And once we even had a 3 girls go from .22 to .44mag from a DE all in one session, I was so proud of them.
