I have a 700P in .308 and am thinking of adding or trading into a 700P or 700 LTR in .223. I used to have a 700 VLS in .223 with the 12" twist rate barrel and it shot match 52/53 grain bullets extremly well

Any owners of the 700P/LTR shoot the lighter 52/53 grain bullets with good results? With the faster twist rate of 9" in the 700P/LTR what is the heaviest bullet you have used and still retained excellent accuracy?

Any info appreciated!

Each gun is a rule unto itself! I had a 700p and could shoot 80gr Noslers with no problem. I could shoot 75gr VLD Bergers like a house a fire. Of course, the rounds were seated near the lands. No where near mag length.
The Hornady 75gr HPBT shot well, and the 77gr Nosler was not to shabby!
The gun hammered down with 55gr NBT's, 50gr Rem PLHP, and well 69 Noslers were like boring! One holers for sure!
