For any of you who do not already know this, do not use your Forster Benchrest sizing die to de-prime / size military brass. It can't handle removing crimped primer pockets. The spindle on mind broke on the first case. I've had other dies that removed the crimped primer with no trouble, but these won't do it. There was nothing in the instructions warning you not to use them on crimped primers. Forster was good enough to expeditiously replace it at no charge, and they are going to revise their instructions.

I have Forster die sets in .223, .257RAI, .308, 7.62x54R, 30-30, and 8x57mm.
I have never deprimed a case with any of them.
I remove the expander ball stem as soon as I get them.

heh

years ago, i went through... oh, probably 20 decapping pins with my forster dies reloading lake city 5.56 cases. i eventually gave up and bought a lee decapping die. haven't replaced a pin since.

i'm very fond of everything else about forster dies though
