I've been getting into classic-styled derringers lately. To satisfy my initial urge, I acquired locally a like-new, nickel-plated Davis in .32ACP. Later, to get to a more "authentic" size, I picked up a like-new Cobra, also nickel-plated, in .38 Special, with the "Long Bore" (3.5" barrel, I think.) They're neat fidget-guns, neither of which I have much intent of shooting or carrying. However, now that I know the interest is still with me, I'm watching for a good example of an American Derringer M-1, though I might settle for a Bond Arms Cowboy/Texas Defender.

About three months ago, I read many reviews and purchased my first Taurus, a GX4. Paid a little over $320 for a cerakote slide, installed some Glock night sights I had in my take off box. The Taurus became my EDC with finger extension on the magazines. It feels good in my hands, shoots like a bigger gun. I have a Hellcat Pro, Glock 19, 43X, 48, 19X and carry the Taurus/ Family Firearms has a nice version for $223.93 plus shipping. I am very tempted at that price to get another one.

What’s a new gun you’ve been eyeing or anything worth letting people know you’ve picked up gun related? Always looking for real suggestions from non AI bots
I'm seriously considering selling my 6.5 prc and 6.5 creedmoor and all the reloading stuff for them to fund a 357 mag or 44 mag Smith revolver.

Here a thought! Beretta A300 Tactical shotgun!

this one! I have a A400 Excel and 2-4k rounds between wipe downs

new 30-06.....a cheaper one this time. I kinda want to try a CZ600, but im probably going to end up with a AB3 or XPR........

While I didnt really WANT one, friend of mine ordered me a Escort Bull Tac pump shotgun, after watching and reading about it......im really looking forward to playing with it

I've been wanting a pre-lock 6" S&W 357mag with adjustable sights and NO underlugged barrel for a couple of years. Absolutely hate the lugged barrels on S&W revolvers. Too heavy and don't have the "classic" look. I'll probably jump at it if one turns up locally.

Why not...Everyone should have one. I have a Gen 2 19 that shoots lights out...

I need to check on one of those Royal Blue Colt 1911s. Mark_Mark started it by posting a pic. I had no idea they were available...
Colt makes a Royal Blue 1911, but never seen it anywhere. Might have to ask for a special order from a Colt dealer or buy on GB

update: looks like you can buy it directly from Colt???!!!

Carried a Davis 32ACP for many years in a little zippered hard camera case on my belt. No one suspected it contained a two-shot gun under 7 ounces that could be hidden in the palm of your hand and was accurate with both barrels with all shots in the 9 to 7 rings at seven yards.

Go for the American Derringer Alaska in 45-70; it comes with the ultimate bragging rights, superseded only by live alligator or bear wrestling.

I loaded some 44 Magnum rounds & was thinkin’ it doesn’t make sense to reload for one gun & it would be nice to have another in the same caliber. Been looking around at old Model 29’s & the new Anaconda.

I've been having such a great time with black powder 45 Colt from my Uberti 1873 SAA replica, that I'm now seeking even more smoke and blast from a black powder rifle platform. The Springfield trap door rifles in 45-70 have caught my eye lately. Uberti makes a nice replica, but it's expensive... I may look for an original in shooting condition first.

Saw some 9mm Luger police trade-in SW99s so broke down and ordered one. I've had good luck in the past with LE trade-ins, often ugly as sin but almost like new inside. Hope this one is similar. Figured since Walther is discontinuing the P99 and the trade-in was considerably less expensive than even a used P99 I'd give it a try.

I picked up a Remington 700 action for a song from an estate this week.

The plan at present is for it to sit around until I am no longer over-extended financially, then do a Remage build with a PTG one-piece bolt (forged handle and M16 extractor), Criterion barrel and MDT chassis.

Either .270 or '06 and just for fun, and to see whether a Mauser snob like me can finally learn to love the 700.
