Walked into the GM in Middletown, NY, to buy some fishing gear and boy, was I surprised. A miracle transformation took place overnight, and the whole place was redecorated and well stocked with all kinds of guns, holsters, and accessories that would give Cabela's a run for the money. Best of all, they had plenty of … (drum roll) … Remington #10 caps! I've been looking for these for over a year now, and there they were---hundreds of tins of 100 caps for 7 bucks each.

I took this as a sign that things are getting better!

Last time i went to cabelas they had plenty of #10s also, i took a picture on my phone but couldnt get it to upload. Ide say my cabelas had 20 tins i bought only 2 though.

They're definitely making them again. Cabelas has had #10s and #11s on and off the last couple of months, on the online store.

My local GM opened to a great hullaballoo about fifteen or so years ago, and after the "opening" crew turned it over to local talent, it was soon driven into the ground. Empty shelves and poor customer service were the order of the day, and very few people patronized it. It seems that instead of closing their doors they revamped it and made it a "priority" store, and the showcases and shelves are now well stocked.

Now to work on their exorbitant pricing!

I always thought that the way the new store ordering systems work is sort of like supply and demand if they order say 5 items or something and they all sell the computer ordering red flags the items that are being sold or sold and out of stock and they reorder it like automaticly.

I built a few pvc carbide pistols and used these $1. bbq igniters from walmart they had like 5 in stock and i bought all 5.

The next day i went in there they had like 50 of them i was shocked.

It is getting that time of year though to start grilling outdoors so maybe thats part of it.

I had talked to the mngr of the nearest GM about #10 caps. He said he would try to get me some. I left my ph number, and checked several times, but they never had any #10s.
About a year later my son was in the store and I had asked him to check on my caps. The guy behind the counter said, "I think there is a bunch in the back that we ordered for some guy, but Ill sell some to you". "They have been back there about a year."
My son brought me 1500 #10 caps.

Went to the local one here near me yesterday and they had none. they are becoming pretty rare now a days
