German Flecktarn Camo Flak Vest

Hello,
I am thinking of getting a German Flak vest for $39.00, and am wondering If it is small enough to fit under a sweatshirt of something. I have a PASGT vest but it is twice as heavy. Also, instead of getting a other flak vest should i get a PASGT helmet for 90 bucks instead?

Welcome to the forum.

You do realize that a flak jacket is not bullet resistant? If you plan on using it as a "bullet proof" vest or for protection from a knife tip, you might get hurt.

Indeed, I know that flak vests are not (Bulletproof) there made to stop *Shrapnel* but they will give you 1-2A Protection. People have done tests on theses and they have stopped low velocity bullets. A flak vest is better protection than a sweat shirt . "Im also on a low budget for getting one".
