Saw two used 9mm Glocks today, a 17 Gen 3 and 19 Gen 4. Both in excellent condition. Both priced at $430 plus tax and $2.00 fee. what do you think about the price and which would you consider the better value?

see how it fits in your hand. I like the Gen 4's a lot. The 19 has never been big enough for my hand. The finger grooves don't fit quite right. I would get a Gen 4 17 or 34 if the 19 doesn't fit you.
Both are great and you will love how they shoot!

Also consider how many mags come with each. Gen4 come standard with 3 mags, the Gen3 only came with 3 mags in the Blue Lable Military/LEO special, otherwise it was 2. I personally just bought a Gen4 G19 (Blue Lable) for a second gun for $425. The program is open to any Military (active duty, reserve or retired) LEO and First Responder (Firefighter, EMT, SAR...I have heard life guards even) If you qualify, it is hard to beat and it covers any Glock except the G36. You get a new gun for better than used price.

Gen 4. Better trigger, better texture, more mags, and can be a CCW gun, as well as HD.

Thanks for your inputs. Went back at noon yesterday and the 19 had been sold a couple of hours earlier. The 17 had only one magazine. Think I'll keep looking.

Ask them to knock off $25 or throw in another mag.. then the G17 would still be a good deal. G17 is hard to carry size wise for most body frames.. but a great combat gun or comp gun.
