Glock 17 or 19

Unless your going to be into IDPA, GSSC, or something, the G19 is the more well rounded gun. Alot nicer to carry than the G17, allmost as good to cary as the 26. For many, even though the 19 isn't small, it's the perfect size shape for CCW.

If you aren't recoil sensitive and have no need for a pistol mounted light, check out the G23 with 180gn ammo.

When in doubt get both.
That solves the dilemma, and lets you make a realistic choice between them that suits you.

I have all three, 17, 19, and 26, and of the three, the 19 gets the least use. For the slight bit of difference in size, I'll take the extra couple of rounds in the mag and the extra barrel length and whatever extra velocity the 17 offers. I also find the 17 points just a tad more naturally. The difference in the 19's grip just tends to point the muzzle even higher for me. The newer 19's grips, while still somewhat cramped, are much nicer than the older guns though. Doing away with the front semi circular mag clearance makes it a bit more comfortable and less annoying.

Carry wise, I seriously doubt you'd notice a difference between the 17 and 19. Even the 26 isnt all that "small", but the difference between it and the 17 are enough to be noticeable. Its still a fat little pig though.

I picked up a Glock 19. The Glock 17 just didn't fit my hand right but the 19 fits like a glove.

I thought the same, too. Then I felt a gen4 22, which convinced me to buy a Gen4 17. I sold the 17 to buy a 19. I recently picked up a 19 and realized I liked the gen4 grip much better. I wish I had kept the 17 and just bought a gen4 19 or 23 whenever they release them.

Once again, I sold a gun that I should have kept. :banghead:
