Interestingly, I had a hard time searching specifically for Glock 26. I guess the 26 is too short of a string to search for? I guess it goes without saying Glock produces a high quality, reliable firearm. I guess my question is how does the 26 compare to the 17? Is there much difference in how they feel when shooting or their accuracy?

The G26 is an excellent small handgun. Easy to shoot even with only two fingers on the grip. But be sure to handle one before buying. They're small, but as thick as the G17 and are still fairly bulky. I wish Glock would create a single stack slimline version of the G26.

I thought of going with a slimmer gun, such as a Kahr PM9 for carry, but you read things here and there with people having problems with their Kahr. It seems you rarely ever hear of someone having a problem with a Glock.

GO GLOCK. Get used to the width.....not a pocket gun.

I carry one daily and I love it!! It will far outlast some of the other brands.

I bought my G26, and just picked up a G19 yesterday....

When I want slimmer I go 1911 instead of a different polymer brand.

Glock 26...great gun, pocket carrying this one at this moment. It's not hard to do with the right holster and if one's pants are not too tight. I also carry it in a IWB and a Fobus.

The Glock 26 is very reliable and serves as my every day all day concealed carry gun.. For me, the G26 is the smallest pistol (19 oz unloaded) that I find reliable enough for self defense... IMO, not well suited as a pocket carry gun, 26 oz loaded..The S&W 642 is more better for pocket carry...Inherently, the G26 is just as accurate as the G17 and much easier to conceal carry than the G17..

I owned one, Nice and compact. and a longer mag. with finger extension is also available. I plan to get another one soon.

I Have Had Mine 11 Years.it Shoots Great And Its My Carry Gun In Warm Weather . I Use A Iwb And Tuck In My Shirt Over It. Or A Fobus With My Shirt Out.i Also Carry One Of My G19 Mags For A Reload.

The G26 was my first gun. They're great little pistols. I eventually sold mine years ago, but will likely get another someday soon.

I've carried my G-26 for several years and I've shot it in IDPA events and didn't feel undergunned in the Stock Service Pistol class. Accurate, reliable and easy to carry. I'd bet my life on one and do every time I carry.

My G26 is one of the most dependable guns I own.

It has been my daily carry for a long time now. Recently, I decided I'd give the M&P9c a shot at proving itself. I put the G26 in the safe and began carrying the M&P9c (~250 rounds through it at the time). Not terribly much difference in concealability, but I shoot the M&P9c better because the ergonomics are better.

But alas, the M&P9c failed me. The magazine release started binding, causing the magazine to fall out, which is not a good thing when you're carrying concealed.

So...it went back to the mothership for repair and the G26 has regained carry status.

Coincidentally, this is the second time I've tried to replace the G26 as my daily carry. The first time was with a Springfield Armory EMP. I liked it a lot, but I was too concerned with dinging it up, so I went back to the G26.

It is a fantastic little gun and I would recommend it to anyone.

My Glock 26 has been fantastic. I've probably put close to 2000 rounds through it with no problems at all. I've had it almost 2 years now. I carried it about half of that with just a ClipDraw but I now carry it in a CTAC as I do my other pistols for training uniformity.

It's a tiny, comfortable piece to carry. Truly the kind of gun you can forget you're wearing. A lot of people prefer the pinkie extension but I always felt that if you wanted a longer grip you should just go with the Glock 19.

I usually carry a G17 mag as a spare.

+1 for the GLOCK 26.
I don't know what everyone else is saying about the G26 not being a good pocket pistol, as I pocket carry mine and it works out great. Then again, I am a big guy and consequently have larger than average pockets. Your mileage may very if you have small pockets.

Here's my G26 in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster, which ends up in my front right pocket. Everything else fits in my left front and rear pockets.

G26 is an awful sweet little gun. I have the 40 caliber version, the G27. I agree it will almost never fit in a pocket, but it is as close to an ideal combination of compactness and firepower you'll find.

As far as shooting it, I believe comparing it to the 17 is tough, because the 17 just happens to be one of the finest shooting guns in history. For its size, it's definitely nice to shoot. And for it's caliber and firepower, it's definitely a very concealable piece.

I had one for 8 years before replacing it with my Walther P99c - I am not a huge fan of the Glock trigger - but the gun is a good gun and will work 100%

G26 is not the best looking......just the best in all other ways.

It CAN be pocket-carried with the right pants. It can also be carried a lot of other ways.

Kahrs are the best alternative. But......Kahrs rust and jam a little too often. Not a lot. A little too often, though.

I put 150 rounds downrange with my G26 a couple of days ago. Superb weapon. Very close, in my opinion, to the ideal carry piece. (No, it's not really a pocket gun.) Glock got it right with all of its 9mm designs, and no less with this one. The double recoil spring makes this a soft shooter. The G17 may--may--be more accurate but at realistic distances the difference is marginal. The G26 has to be on the short list of practical CCW handguns.

My Glock 26 was sent back for an ejector that placed empty cases at my forehead. It now ejects them to the side like my Glock 19. I CCW my Glock 26 more in the winter when heavier clothing is worn. It fits nicely in the brest pocket of my leather jacket in a Desaints pocket holster. I also have carried my 19 the same way. I do shoot tighter groups with my Glock 19 but overall if needed for SD I can and do shoot 3-4" groups with the 26 @ 7-12 yards simulating quick draw technique. Groups of 2-3" @ the same distance target shooting from a weaver or Isosceles is not uncommon. I figure If I can shoot my Carry gun in a group the size of the palm of my hand in a quick draw, SD simulation I'm doing OK and hitting center mass. Wheather I'm aiming for a head or body shot.

Basically I trust my life to the Glock 19 & 26. I also carry S&W 442 & 642 or Kumber Ultra.

I almost exclusively carried my G26 in the front right pant pocket. I wore pleated trousers and a long shirt and carried the pistol in Condition 3 in an Uncle Mikes #1 IWB holster in the right front pocket. Without the pinky extension was the best...pinky extension best for belt carry (aids in pulling from a holster) and the range. I owned mine for 3 years and never had a malfunction in over 2K rounds. Foolishly sold it to finance the next flavor of the month. Mike

The Glock 26, along with the Smith 642, are something like the most popular CCW pistols out there. Reason is they are rugged, reliable, and not to expenisve.

You will do fine with the Glock 26. Good enough to ride the river with.
