I don't care for the trigger on my 43x either. However, I use this as a carry gun and if I have to use it for protection ---- well you know the rest of the story. (lawyers)!!!

A small amount of grease or oil in the right spot can help. In that particular spot I prefer light grease, I use superlube multipurpose synthetic grease. Wipe it clean first.
I'm not a glock guy so apologies if this doesn't apply to the 43X. I just stuck a timney alpha trigger in my PSA Dagger yesterday after finding the trigger on sale. It is an incredible target/competition trigger but in my opinion it is entirely too light for a carry gun. I didn't pay much attention to the 3lb rating when I read the ad. I bought my dagger as a range toy/project gun and have no regrets, but if it was my main carry piece I'd be pretty disappointed and probably putting the stock trigger back in.
Overwatch Precision is my go to trigger for Glocks. Lots of options out there, but after a lot of research and talking to the guys at Overwatch, I went where their trigger. Currently running them in three Glocks and did use one in my Glock 43 until I sold it.
Vickers flat triggers have gone into all of my Glocks, except a Gen 3 17 (Apex kit) and my two Gen 5’s (19X and 45). (They also get Wolff spring kits, but thats not necessary if you want to keep everything else OEM.)
Since this trigger swap, the guns are much nicer to shoot.
